Hello lovelies! How are you? I know I am supposed to be doing homework, but my mommy wants me to go get my passport photo taken, and I would much rather do that! Plus, I don't work today, so I can actually wear something other than dress pants and a nice shirt. Phew! All of my outfit today is either thrifted, or from Winners. Yay!
I'm actually wearing a dress under my t-shirt, if you couldn't tell! On my feet right now I've got some thick grey thermal socks and my brown Doc Martens. Apparently if I just don't do up the laces, they don't give me blisters! Awesome!
And lo and behold, I am wearing makeup today! I pretty much never wear makeup, but a passport photo is the kind of photo that follows you around (like a driver's license!). Umm let me see... I'm wearing...
♥ Bonne Bell Eye Definer eyeliner, I think?
♥ Maybelline Great Lash mascara in Brownish Black (I've been meaning to look for something new from a company that doesn't test on animals!)
♥ Annabelle eyebrow pencil in Blonde -I stopped shaping my eyebrows a while ago (Why? Because they looked like this!) and I'm not used to penciling them in so they look really big and weird.
♥ Physician's Formula Mineral Translucent Loose Powder (which works pretty good, I think? It's translucent so it pretty much takes away my shiny).
♥ ...and a dab of some cheap red lipstick I picked up in Calgary for 99c, I don't recall the brand but it's "Fatal Red" and that's awesome.
I also did a little something with my hair! It's really hard to take a picture of the back of my head, haha!
And there you have it! This is the kind of stuff I wear when I feel somewhat fancy! Have a great day, my dears! ♥ ♥ ♥

I Pretty Much Suck at Saving Money.
It's true, dears! I was doing so good at not using my bank card and having a budget of $80 per paycheck... but then... bang. I went to Winners. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore discount stores, but ah! There was just too much amazing stuff! It's like they heard me coming and decided to put out all the adorably ugly things from the back, just for me to discover, take pity on and buy. Anyways, I actually put back a whole lot of things I was thinking about getting, but here's what I left with:
This lovely peacock feathery dress was only $30! The tag says Speechless, which I've never heard of before, but from checking out the website you can find it at Macy's and Rampage. We deff don't have those stores around there but I think they're nice? Anyways, it's quite cleavage-bearing, thus the hand censor, and it had a cute sparkly pin that went right beneath where my hand is, but there were a bunch of gems missing! Poo!
Okay, so I just realized that this is an awful awful awful picture of me. But it's not about my face, anyways! Check out that crazy skirt! It totally looks like something my Barbies would wear! It was only $12, too. The shirt my mom bought for my friend Mr. Wafflez, it says "Hot Waffles To Go" on it. Cute!
And here we have a totes cute mirror (I just took it out of the package, it actually has no border at all! Too bad I can't hang it on my walls because I live in a lame trailer. Boo!) , some weird zebra lingerie thing that was like $13, and super cute Betsey Johnson tights! Yes, I finally found some! They were $7, which is more than I would usually pay for tights, but now I can say I own something Bestey Johnson. At last! I am so stoked, and I absolutely cannot wait until it warms up some so I can wear tights outside again.
Yeah! That's about all I've got for you right now, but here's a song anyways. Have a wonderful day my lovelies! ♥♥♥

What I Wore - ?? & Nov. 24
I wore this to check out the auction with my mommy. I nearly froze to death- but posing on all the vintage furniture? Totally worth it!
-Sparkly Gold Awesome Dress ($2, Thrift store) I got this thanks to a now-ex boyfriend about a year ago. It's amazing. The fabric is pretty itchy and uncomfortable, though. Poo.
-White shimmery tights ($4, Incognito) Sparkly. Lovely. 'Nuff said.
-Brown Dr. Martins ($4, Thrift store) I recognized the clear-ish rubber soles of these peeking over the edge of a high shelf, and nearly had a heart attack. The only problem is they give me hella blisters. Oh well!
-Black flower headband (50c, Ardene) This thing makes me feel like a fancy model. Supa cute.
I really need to get a tripod or a photographer or something. Rawr!
-Joe stretchy stripe dress ($20, Superstore) I really don't wear this dress enough. It's so cozy! And stripey. ♥
-Tights, see above!
-Black over-the-knee socks - ($3, Ardene) These are so cute. Unfortunately they are made for little girls and are cutting the circulation off to my legs.
-Black faux suede pumps (Not pictured, Payless shoes, $20) Hm. Lovely shoes. I might switch up for some black flat boots when I go out though, in the name of comfort!
And that is what I am wearing. Mmmm.

What I Wore - November 9, 2009

Hello lovelies! Today is the day that I DO things! I actually got up at a decent hour, made breakfast and took vitamins... I'm so proud of myself! Hehe. Anyways, I'm going to be busing downtown at some point, and this is what I decided to wear today.
- Ghostbusters shirt (Winners, $12) I bought this for my boyfriend but it looks better on me.
- Grey thermal shirt (My mom's closet, free hehe) I stole this from my mom. I think she got it when she lived in Alberta in the 80's. It's so worn in and comfy!
- Sparrow necklace (Icing, $9) This is cute. It's also cheap and all the "gold" wore off. Dang.
- Weird braided leather belt (My mom's closet, free) It says Levi's on it. It's funky. I love it.
- Grey poofy skirt (Some drunk girl, free) The tag says Ardene. Oh well, free stuff is free stuff!
- Two layers of tights (??) Gotta stay warm!
- Brown leg warmers (Ardene, $5) Mmm, cheap and warm
- Brown K9 boots (Shoe Warehouse, ~$40) These are a size too small, but they're warm and cozy and I'm making them fit.

Yay! And yes, cleaning my messy bathroom is on my list of stuff to do today. I really should get on that though! Love! ♥

What I Wore - September 11 2009
Greetings, mon petit chous~ I just wanted to give you a peek into my wardrobe, as of late. I've found that over the summer my personal style's changed quite a bit- it's crazy! Most of the clothes I own are destined to go to the free store 'cause frankly, I never wear them. But anyways, here's what I wore yesterday:
Please excuse the ridiculous pose, poor quality and whatever it is I'm doing with my face... I'm still getting used to the timer on my poor old HP Photosmart. Err... I'm wearing:
It smells so spicy and decadent... It did make my arms sort of itchy though (Which is odd, since they're mineral oil and paraben free). Oh well, I don't know about you, but I'm willing to make sacrifices for smelling great! Mmmmm. I think it's meant to be one of the boy scents, but I don't care! It was $12 at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Well, I'm off to go buy tropical fish and art supplies with my Mommy! Yay! Have an absolutely fantastical wonderful day, loves!
♥ ♥ ♥
*Update: Apparently the body wash I got smells like Old Spice. That would explain why I like it so much. Great, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on overpriced Old Spice, hahah! Oh well. It still smells lovely.

candy candy candy!
Mmmm! I spent all my change on candy... and I'm SO HAPPY! Hehe.
I just wanted to say that I found the coolest earrings ever at the thrift store. They don't really work in my ears well because I have 6g plugs, but I make them happen.

Pay phones?! Seriously!! I love them, and they make jingly noises when I walk, which is super cool. I wore them the other day on a walk around town running errands and picking flowers...
I really liked my outfit. I felt sorta vintage/rockabilly or something, and the cool part is, the whole outfit was from thrift stores! (Except for the bandanna... "You can't be both crips and bloods, give me that! Yoink.) I also found a bunch of body jewellery in original packaging at the thrift store for really cheap! I got three new posts and a ball for my monroe, a metal ball for my navel and a whoooooole bunch of nose rings... my nose isn't pierced anymore but I want to get it re-done, and I have some friends who would probably appreciate some more jewellery!
Oh yeah! Another random thing - I was stranded downtown and went into a funky store and bought a bunch of semi-precious stones that are supposed to have healing properties. Tigers Eye for courage, Bloodstone for good circulation, Peridot for banning jealousy, and Smoky Quartz to fight depression. I'll let you know if I notice anything drastic happen ;)
Lovelovelove! Meeee~ ♥

nerdtastic!
So, I started my day with the brilliant idea to customize my messenger with sound clips from the n64 Legend of Zelda games... (having Navi shout "HEY!" whenever someone messages me is so cute haha, the item fanfare when someone signs in kind of gives me a heart attack though.) And, after a thorough conversation with my equally nerdy friend, I decided to dress like a Kokiri child today. That's one of the forest dwellers, for those non-Zelda obsessees. What I find silly is that all these things came out of my everyday wardrobe. Fantastic!

I also figured out what was up with my camera... I had accidentally changed all the settings to manual, whoops! Oh well, I might go on a forest adventure in a bit and take some better pictures. And, if you happen to dig Zelda as much as I do, then do I ever have something for you! A super sweet picture I found on deviantart earlier, which is now my desktop background. It's really well done, I think. Here's the link! Haha, personally I found it hilarious when I was browsing through Zelda themed pictures and I clicked "Open Link in New Tab"... 'cause Link's the main character... ohh my. :) Have a wonderful day! Love, meee~ ♥
P.s. YOU WISH YOU WERE THIS COOL...
P.s. YOU WISH YOU WERE THIS COOL...
recession/depression?
Well, I've definitely found the connection between those two words. My town has suffered hard from the economic recession, a once proud town based off natural resources forced to close down its mills and maybe mines? (I've been slacking on keeping up to date with the news, yikes.) Either way, it's been really difficult to find an entry-level job now, and lots of people are moving away to look for employment elsewhere. I, for one, have decided to stick it out in town looking for work a little bit longer... not to mention that I'm flat broke and couldn't leave this town even if I wanted to! Blegh! Thus, I am stuck in a very unwelcome spot... no job, no money to move out of my parents' pad, or get my license (not that I could anyways, I have an irrational fear of traffic, left turns, and driving examiners with sunglasses and beards), and no money for university. Not to mention, no money for fun summer road trips... I fear I'm being forced to sell my Shambhala ticket (WAAH!) so I can afford to keep paying my cell phone bill. Lame-OH!
So what in the hell does my money situation have to do with my blog, my dears?
Well! No money for me means no extravagant shopping sprees, or supa-cool new outfits, or lovely shoes... essentially, limited stuff to blog about. I could talk about how fun it is living without money... but that's lying, hahah. Besides, being jobless living with my mom just doesn't make for much excitement. Not to mention my recession-depression! When your day consists of eat, sleep, facebook, twitter, messenger and more eat, well, it gets to you. Especially when you're a socially awkward geek chick! Augh!
So I surmise that for you, my reader(s?) that this must have been a somewhat boring read. But, I figured getting what's in my head out was probably a good idea! And now you can understand why I fail miserably at regular, interesting updates. Excellent!
So, what did I do today? A whole lot of not much! I did kind of take some outfit pictures though, so here you go!

As you can see, I was using the fujifilm, but it was doing something funky... not automatically adjusting for lighting conditions or something. I tried editing them to bring them closer to normal, but a lot of the color was lost. For example, those plaid pants are bright red and black. They're pretty funky, remind me of a No Doubt-era Gwen Stefani, and I got them from a thrift store for five bucks! Mmmm. Deals. Actually, the butterfly belt came from a thrift store too... I think it was a dollar or something. I've actually seen quite a few of these belts in different colors, I may have to snatch them up. And the shirt, well, it's just one of those stretchy black tanks from Bootlegger. Nothing too special. Anyways, those pants are busy enough, I figure!
So, this concludes my blog post for today (tonight?). And I think it's due time for me to crawl into bed! Much love to everyone! ♥

moccasokkasokkasins <3
Remember how I had that little obsession over moccasins a while back? Well I'd just like to let you know that I GOT MY HANDS ON A PAIR WOOOOT! They're from the thrift store I volunteer at, and they were supposed to be at least fifty dollars but the fur ripped and is starting to fall off. So, I saved them from the garbage for a whopping twenty-five cents! HOLY CRAPPO! I'm in love. They fit me perfectly and keep my feet oh so toasty... the falling fur is a cause for concern, since they're so old (hello, vintage!?) that the skin is cracking and sewing it just rips it more (trust me, I tried...), but I'm going to get a hot glue gun and massacre the fur back on them! LOVELOVELOVE Here's some pics, by they way it's a gorgeous day!

Mmmm, love. And since it's so wonderful out I think it's time to share some music I've been diggin' recently! BEAT RADIO <3 So amazingly wonderful, unfortunately I couldn't find a youtube video that does them justice so if you follow the link there's some free mp3's! Fantastic!
Anyways, I must be off to fix my booties. Farewell, ♥~ Meee

What color is my hair again?
No seriously, I can't quite recall the natural color, other than it's a shade of ash and it's boring. Right now I'm rockin' the accidental black-and-almost-blonde (but more orange than not), always an interesting combination. I think it looks sort of classy, especially with red lipstick and dark eye make-up, but I tried to wear that to class and gangster-kid told me I looked like a hooker. OOPS. :)
If I only had batteries for my nice camera... oh well. Today I shall present to you what I would wear if it were not freezing cold out! (in smexy cell phone camera quality)
Every outfit needs a rambunctious cat. It's this summer's must have accesory.
Ah yes! The quality! The presentation! Mom's favorite oriental-styled rug! Beautiful!!
I am currently diggin this right now. Curse you march snows... Anyways, here we have...
