Hey lovelies! Right now I am stuck in a boring-storm! I blame it on my lovely boyfriend because he's working in Vancouver and I don't get to see him until mid-next week! Augh!
Anyways, other than working and school and staring at my Tumblr dashboard into the wee hours of the morn, I haven't done much. Other than go thrifting! I think I have a problem. This is what I took home last time:
Actually, that's kind of a lie- the holster and the fold-out camera came from my oh-so-generous uncle! But the other stuff, clockwise from upper right, is: an old-school photography book, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day and Think Pink on cassette (I saw a cool tutorial on how to turn cassettes into coin purses! I can't wait to try!), FernGully, a Kodak Ektralite 500, a vintage leather gun holster (needs some work, oh well! Still badass!), um a piece of my camera strap in the bottom corner, a really cute Garfield keychain, a very moldy Neil Young guitar songbook, and an Agfa Ventura 69! I don't know why, but I really adore old cameras.
Oh, I also picked up this framed poster:
I think it's really neat! Apparently when my mom was a teenager in the 1970's she was a Greenpeace member. I am so jealous- I wish I could have grown up in the late 60's to early 70's!
I also finally found the antiques store in my town. Oh. My. God. I think I experienced a thriftgasm. I was determined to not leave empty handed so I got this weird (yet cute) hat, apparently from the early 1950's:
I totally dig the veil. It makes me feel mysterious. Unfortunately whenever I wear it my mom calls me "Aunt Lil" because apparently it is something that my great-aunt Lilian would have an interest in. My mom says that Aunt Lil was a bitch; I think she had great taste in hats.
My cat seems rather unimpressed that there's loot all over her spot. Silly cat!
Anyways, that's about all I can think about sharing for now. Actually, maybe I'll give you a couple songs to listen to today! I'm on a soft-rock bender right now, and ack! I just found out that Tom Petty is playing in Vancouver this summer- and we couldn't get tickets! My bff and her family did though. So jealous!
Pearl Jam - Harvest Moon
Tom Petty - Yer So Bad
Neil Young - Old Man
Counting Crows - Mr. Jones (AHAHA THE SINGER CAN NOT DANCE!)

Why don't you...
Little me, aged 13~ aweee! With my BFF
Hey lovelies, happy Monday! How are you? I am still super tired from the time change, waah! I really should be having a nap right now! But first, I would like to share some fun suggestions to brighten your day!
♥ Bake something yummy? I am totally cookingly-handicapped, but the other night I made butterscotch chip cookies, and they were actually really good!
♥ Spend some time with some pets? Even if you don't have any of your own, your local animal shelter probably appreciates volunteer dog walkers or cat groomers!
♥ Listen to some old CD's or tapes? I always laugh so hard at the music I liked three, four, or five years ago! I bet this will be really amusing when I am older!
♥ Go through your closet? I just weeded through my dresser and found a huge pile of clothes that just don't fit right, or make me feel happy anymore. I do have a special bin full of cool clothing that I'm saving for my offspring, of which I put all my band tee's, favorite pants, and really awesome shoes!
♥ Paint a picture? Even if you have no faith in your artistic abilities, just give it a shot! Bonus points if you give it to a friend later.
♥ Just chill out? Grab your favorite snacks, get in some comfy clothes, and watch your favorite TV show or movie!
♥ Call up a friend? Find someone to share your Monday miseries with! I guarantee it will make it much nicer.
♥ And finally, did you know that today is International Nap Day? Because that is totally my next course of action. Comfy couch, here I come!
Here's some music that I used to enjoy when I was younger! Hee hee!
The Offspring - Why Don't You Get a Job
Bowling for Soup - Girl All The Bad Guys Want
American Hi-Fi - Flavor of the Weak
Blink 182 - First Date
Have a great Monday, lovelies! ♥ ♥ ♥

Total Girl Crush.
Hello my lovelies! I was just laying in bed procrastinating my sleep when I realized that I really should share my massive girl-crush of right now! Motherfucking KIMYA DAWSON. Seriously, I can't get enough of her! Her voice is so wonderful and sweet and I kind of really want to go on a picnic with her and look at clouds and hold hands and talk about life. If you feel like it, go on over to her website at http://www.kimyadawson.com and in the mp3 section you can listen to a bunch of her recordings! I like them all, but my absolute favorites (at this point in time) would have to be I Like Giants and 12/26. But The Beer is really good too. Absolute. Adoration. And, she has a daughter named Panda. How amazing is that?! ♥ ♥ ♥

Wishing, Hoping, Dreaming
Hello lovelies! How are you this fine day? It's halfway to the weekend, hurrah! What has been consuming your mind lately? To keep my mind off of the present dullness of my life, I have been planning my future life! If you haven't already heard me say, I'm upgrading some courses right now so I can go to university in Christchurch, New Zealand next spring! I'm hoping to major in biology and minor in environmental studies, or something like that. And I am absolutely so excited! But what's even more fun, in my opinion, is to look online for really cool stuff to buy when I get at that point. So far, I've definitely come up with a few thing I'm lusting after!
♥ First and foremost, I really really really want a Macbook! I love my HP Pavillion to bits and pieces, but I think that a Macbook would be really handy for going to school, and editing photos in, and maybe even for DJ programs! Besides, I've only had my laptop for a bit over a year and it's screen is all damaged (from an unfortunate shampoo explosion in my packsack! Boo!), and it's starting to slow down a lot on me. Very saddening.
♥ Also, I think it would be really amazing to have a Canon EOS 7D! Hah, fat chance that's going to happen while I'm a starving student! I'll probably end up with a Rebel of some sort, but I'd even be thankful for that! I adore my A-1, but since I'm just learning my way around a camera it would be nice to be able to see the photos as I take them, and not have to spend a whole bunch of money on film! When I'm rich and awesome I'll probably get a house with a darkroom though, I do adore old-school photography!
♥ I love Dj'ing. It's really frustrating because I never practice and really suck right now, but I'll get there! Hopefully this summer I can use the turntables when I move into my motor home, so I will get some good practice time! Anyways, it's sort of difficult too because I have like, 7 different records. It's hard to find certain songs I want on vinyl, and it can also be fairly costly! ($45-€65? Booo!) That's why having some vinyl emulation software would be really, really amazing. Any song on your computer (given it's a good enough quality), emulated onto coded discs! That's wiggity-wack!
♥ And finally... I know I still can't drive, but my boyfriend made the mistake of showing me a New Zealand website that's sort of like eBay, but full of used cars! I love love love cars (Hey, I wouldn't be an apprentice mechanic if I didn't)! Egads. I would like this (HAH I wish!), this, sweet lord this had underglow and a really bad (amazing) spoiler, hey look it's the Subaru I really wanted, and I literally cried when he told me that this would be gone by the time we got there! Hopefully there's still something really cool for us to cruise in!
Anyways, I really could go on for a very long time! But don't worry, I'll stop here. Is there anything you really, really want to get your hands on? Don't be shy! ♥ ♥
(PS. Wow, I saw "Booo" a lot! This is how I say it in my head...!)

Some Super-lame Advice
Hello my dears! How are you this fine Monday? I hope all is well! Over in my part of the world it's still cold and dreary (though there were a couple days of sun, yay!), so I just wanted to share some slightly-inspiring advice.
♥ First off, this should be totally obvious, but do what makes you happy. Really! Why would you do anything else? If something makes you unhappy, then change it (or at least, how you view it)!
♥ I think this ties in with the first point- Live for yourself! I'm not telling you to completely disregard the other people in your life, goodness no! But really now, in the end, you are the only person that you can rely on completely. Stop living to make everyone else happy! I know it's really hard to do, especially if you have parents with crazy-huge expectations of you or something. But in the end, if someone really matters, then they'll want you to be happy.
♥ And finally, always keep in mind that you are an absolutely wonderful, beautiful human being. Yes, you! You are a brilliant, gorgeous, unique creative genius. There is nobody in the world who could even come close to taking your place. I know it, and I know you do too, deep down in there! Believe me, sugar, you're amazing. I genuinely hope you see it too.

TiLT!
Hello lovelies! It's Thursday! Which is almost Friday! And that's wonderful! For the past couple days it's been sunny, which is amazing since I live in a very rainy city. It just fills me with joy! So, I've been super-inspired to write a giant lists of things that I love right now!
♥ Orange pekoe tea (well that's a given!) ♥ Sunshine ♥ Getting re-tucked in at the morning when my man leaves for work ♥ Helping out at studioCHU (possibly more to come on that later!) ♥ A Tribe Called Quest ♥ Thinking really hard about how awesome it would be to be able to drive (BY GOD I WANT TO) (ALSO: I WANT THIS CARR) ♥ Reminiscing with best friends after workouts and sushi ♥ Getting all my Physics done ♥ All this Alice in Wonderland business going around! ♥ Copious amounts of Fruit & Nut bars and popcorn ♥ Fallout 3 ♥ Days off from both work and school at the same time ♥ and of course, Me Time!
Yippie! What are you loving this fine day?

lalalalove music!
So I said like, forever ago that I would make a post on my love for grunge music. Finally, that time is here! It just took so long because you know, I'm a lazy butt. Oh well!
I guess by now you probably have an idea that I love hip-hop. The way the rappers can put words together so poetically absolutely blows my mind. And really now, I love all types of music! But sometimes I crave something a bit more raw- and that craving is satisfied by my beloved grunge music (and all of its relatives!) I know I was just being born during its heyday, but it still provides a nostalgia to me for a better time, when musicians wrote what they felt, not just what would sell records. The heartfelt singing and dirty guitar riffs... aah. I love being home alone so I can jump around the house, headbanging and singing along. It's such a liberating feeling! Plus, I totally love the fashions from that era. It totally focused on comfort and practicality, which is something I can vouch for. Nothing beats snuggling up in a warm flannel shirt, some long johns, well-worn pants and combat boots.
Anyways, I just wanted to share some of my favorite songs in this genre. Maybe you can try jumping around your house and singing along too!
Yeah! I hope you enjoy it all!
PS. My boyfriend looks like the reincarnation of Layne Staley of Alice In Chains fame. Coincidence? Perhaps.
Haha see? Crazy. ♥ ♥ ♥
Have a wonderful day, lovelies!

TiLT!
Hey everybody! Happy thursday! You've almost made it through the week, hurrah! So, things I'm loving at this very moment are:
- How when my boyfriend goes to work early in the morning he gets an extra blanket and tucks me in :3
- Girl Talk! One of my fave dj's. I know he does everything on a laptop, but still, it's AMAZING. Check him out.
- Cupcakes! They're so good. I'm making rainbow sprinkle ones later today and decorating them with dinosaurs.
- Power outages! Okay, so they totally suck when you're trying to get something done that involves electricity, but there's something so fun about sitting in the dark with candles and an acoustic guitar. Glee.
- Buying Christmas presents. I hate how commercialized the holiday is (my work started playing Christmas music last week, blech!), but I absolutely adore giving other people gifts that they love. Hehe. If I had the cash I would be buying everyone presents all the time!

- Finishing Season 2 of Heroes. Awwe yeah. I am so so so excited for Season 3!
- Houseplants. I went out and bought two the other day to liven up my room- Thickus Stickus the Ficus, and Pinkypoo the Dracaena. I lovers them. :)So, my lovelies, what are you loving this week? ♥

Burrr!
Hello all! Are you enjoying the fall weather? It is freakishly windy out here, and so cold! I think it's supposed to snow soon... eek. Anyways, why don't we inject some positivity into our chilly autumn days by listing stuff we're loving right now! YAY!
- Orange pekoe tea. I really can't have a good day unless it starts with a travel mug full of hot delish tea. Nothing smaller will suffice.
- Verhext - This blog is super amazing! It has such a creepy/crazy cool feel to it! I lovelovelove the music she puts on sometimes.
- Farmville - Uh oh, I'm addicted. It's this dumb game on Facebook (to which I am also addicted) where you have a virtual farm... silly, no? Then why can't I stop checking on my crops?!
- Maybelline Metallique Eyeshadow Quad - It's really all I wear anymore. That and brown-black mascara. How boring am I?
- Krafty Kuts' These Are The Breaks - A great compilation. I love it. If you like hip-hop, breaks, and good dancin' musics, check it out! One of my fave tracks: Ill Culinary Behaviour. It's kinda cute!
- Cheap champagne - Yumm. $12 for 1.5L of La Scala Spumante? Yes pleaaase.
- Heroes - I am SO INTO this show right now. I just finished watching all of Season 1 and have just started the second season... Ah! I love it so much! Except for Sylar's eyebrows. Something about them just drives me batty. note: I just finished a couple discs of the second season and... I think they gave Sylar some eyebrow grooming. Seriously. I couldn't love this show any more!

baby, are you a badfish too?

Hola! I feel like... happiness. So in celebration of the happy, let's make lists of things we're loving!
- Hip-hop. Poetry to a beat? Yess please. I'm listening to this song, Acid Raindrops, right now... it's pretty amazing!
- Sunshine. This is the first summer I've been out enough to actually tan a bit. I am so stoked. And, on a related note...
- The ocean. Jumping of the roof of a boat on a scorching day into the freezy blue... ahh yes.
- Short dresses and shorter shorts. 'Nuff said.
- Friends. I have some! It's rad!
- Live music. Did I even need to list that?
- Palm Bay Coolers. The "sophisticated" vodka cooler drink. Comes in a can, looks like soda, tastes like soda, and it's cheaper than beer! Awesome!
- Boys... yeah... :) Certain ones are most definitely awesome! He wants to take me on a road trip! I LOVE ROAD TRIPS TOOOOoooo ♥
- Homemade sushi. Totally customized. Yuuuumah.
- Jelly bracelets. Bringin' back the fad from middle school! Ohh yeah. I have enough left over that I can color coordinate them to my outfits. I'm so cool.
- Kittens. One of the men who works here's cat is totally preggo, and I'm gonna get a kitten! YAY! (As if I don't already have enough cats at home, oh well!)
- EVERYTHING! I LOVE EVERYTHING! DON'T YOU?

mmm
It's so so so hot out! Finally, I'm so stoked. So, my lovelies, I just wanted to share some of my current favorite things with you! <3

I want to ride my bicycleeee, I want to ride my biiiike~
What are your favorite things this summer? I'd love to hear from you! ♥ Meeeee~
- Bud Lite Lime - Usually I go for stronger beers, around 8%, so I can get wasted quicker and cheaper. But these, which my mommy actually discovered, are amazingly delicious. They're light tasting with a hint of lime, and they're perfect for relaxing in your yard with some tunes, friends and sunshine. Yumm. Refreshing without being too watery!
- Mat the Alien - One of my current favorite DJ's, Mat the Alien hails from Whistler, BC, which is surprisingly close to me. He's amazing, and mixes so many genres of music together into one giant muddle of awesome. There's dub step, drum and bass, different types of house, and even some oldies! You can listen to and download my favorite set here. It gets really bumpin after the first 20 minutes!
- My Gwen Stefani Perfume - Do you love coconut? I sure do. Which is why I am absolutely obsessed with this smell. It's sweet and summery with hints of "Mandarin, Coconut, Apple Skin, Jasmine Sambac, Freesia, Magnolia, Coconut Cream, White Sandalwood, and Cottonwoods." It's definitely divine, except after a long night of Malibu Coconut Rum shots. Then it makes me want to die. I paid $50 for one ounce at Shoppers, which is more than I'd usually pay for perfume, but it's worth it... I think? I could always just douse myself in Malibu...
Cheap Flip-Flops - Seriously, it just wouldn't be my summer without them. Due to my disgusting lack of sandals (flats just don't cut it!), I dashed to my local Superstore and got a pair of olive green flip-flops for four dollars. Wow. At that price, I don't care that they're likely to break in about a month! I can just buy more! Oh goodie!
- Sushi- zomgyumyumyum. When it gets to be this warm out, I have no appetite whatsoever. It seems like all I can eat is potato salad and sushi (Which is fine by me!). In my town we have this great little place called Katie's Rice Box, where you can get fresh-made sushi by actual Japanese people for under five dollars... It's wonderful! I eat there all the time. My favorite things are Sunomono Salad (clear noodles in sweet rice vinegar with nori, cucumber & shrimp), BBQ Eel & Cucumber Roll, Inari (some sort of delicious rice-filled pouch) and to drink, Calpico (also I have no clue what it is, but it's delicious!)
What are your favorite things this summer? I'd love to hear from you! ♥ Meeeee~

just dropping in...
I was browsing the Wet Seal website (my mom's going to Reno soon and I want her to pick me up some foreign clothing!) and I was blown away by the amazing dresses. Holyyy!
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS DRESS IT IS ALL I EVER WANTED IN A DRESS AND BY THE WAY I'D PROBABLY BE A SIZE MEDIUM. OH. MY. GOD. haha I adore the shape! The color is beautiful! And the pattern? YUM. The Sublimation is the perfect name for this bad boy. (girl?)
This is adorable. I would wear it everywhere... to the pier for some ice cream, to a music festival, downtown shopping, a lakeside bonfire... Love. And it's fifteen dollars (american, BUT STILL!) Droooool.
This is so sexaaay... and cute! It also comes in fuschia, but I decided to post the black version for some variety... I'm really drawn to little pink dresses right now! This dress is also $23.50 (as is the top one)... so affordable! GAH!
My name is Mishelle, and I'm a cute, strapless little dress addict.
And of course, I just had to look at the shoes. There are so many cute and cheap shoes! It was really difficult to pick one pair to show you, but these are what I would wear with any of those three dresses:
Black strappy sandal with 4.5 inch heel- $26.50
Cute pink dress- $23.50
Looking absolutely fantastic- $PRICELESS ♥
P.S. Thank you for the well wishes! A little sunbeam is beginning to light up my life... :)

sunshiiine
Fack yeah! It's finally seeming somewhat springy out! And I have one week left of college, so stoked! Not only did I pass my final exam with 91%, but I managed sold my welding gear to some lady for 3 dollars! YESSSs MONEY! (This goes to show how desperate for money I am right now.)
Anyways. So yesterday I was thrifting and I found the most amazing moccasin boots ever. Unfortunately they fit ridiculously weirdly (the back stuck out most oddly and made it look like my ankles were broken), so I decided to not invest in another pair of boots I might never wear. However, I then realized HOW MUCH I WANT SOME!
These are neat, 'cause they're authentic Canadian Native made. However, they have actual rabbit fur on them, which sorta freaks me out. Bunnies are cute; not on my feet though. Plus, they're really expensive.
These are nearly identical to the ones I found at the thrift store, but they were white. So cute and comfy! Ayeeee!
And these, are fricken crazy. Where would you wear them? What would you wear them with? I DON'T CARE, THEY MAKE ME FEEL LIKE POCAHONTAS, THEY'RE SO RAD.
Oh wow. I might just have to go back to the thrift store and see if the moccasins are still there. Big socks make anything fit, hehe :)
♥ Misha loves you!
